AI space tech leader and space systems expertise to advise U.S. State Department
on global standards for orbital safety and sustainable space operations
New York, NY, January 29, 2026 – Planetary Systems AI, a leading provider of AI-powered decision support systems for space operations, today announced it has been selected by the U.S. Department of State to participate in the discussion group supporting the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UNCOPUOS) Expert Group on Space Situational Awareness (SSA).
The selection recognizes PSAI’s pioneering work in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and autonomous space systems for orbital operations—capabilities that are increasingly critical as the space environment grows more complex and contested. As the orbital environment becomes increasingly crowded, international cooperation is essential. This initiative brings together private sector leaders to provide technical expertise and practical solutions to improve communication, data interoperability, shared space situational awareness leadership from the United States and ensure the long-term sustainability of space activities.
